Our Fabrication Workshop

Welcome to the unit 2 fabrication workshop. Unit 2 was built after unit 1 and is where all of the Sea Otter aluminium shells are built. Highly-skilled welders start with just big sheets of marine grade aluminium alloy and from these build our unique boat shells. Looking to the right of the door we entered, we can see 2 aluminium shells under construction. We can also see the mezzanine at the end of the workshop which is used for storage. Once a shell is finished, it is then tranferred across to unit 1 where it is fitted-out. It is then brought back across to the paintshop in unit 2.
