Fabrication Workshop
Welcome to the unit 2 fabrication workshop. Unit 2 was built
after unit 1 and is where all of the Sea Otter aluminium shells
are built. Highly-skilled welders start with just big sheets of
marine grade aluminium alloy and from these build our unique boat
shells. In the picture above it is possible to see a narrowboat
shell under construction. Once a shell is finished, it is then
tranferred to unit 1 where it is fitted-out before being brought
back across to the paintshop in unit 2.

Looking to the right inside the fabrication workshop it is possible
to see the mezzanine which is used for storage.
Here you can see three different boat shells being created simultaneously.
