Our
Testing Tank
Welcome to the Sea Otter testing tank. Boats are put onto the testing
tank at various stages of the construction. The boats are then completely
fitted out in unit 1 before being tested on the testing tank for
a second time. This testing ensurse that the boat is trimmed properly
and if not it is corrected by adding the appropriate weights. From
the testing pond the boats are then taken into the painting shop
in unit 2. The boats are then tested for the third and final time
in the testing tank. This is a final test for the boat where everything
is tested including running the engine. If you wish to go to the
other end of the testing tank and look across unit 2 from the end
of the tank then click the end of the tank.
