Wide Beam Narrowboats

We build many different styles of boat. Our Narrowboats and Dutch barges are well documented on the website. The Dutch barge information is not totally up to date as regards latest engine and general fitment specification or prices and is intended as a “taster” to show you what we can achieve. Hopefully you will take on board all the benefits of Marine Grade Aluminium Alloy and our standard of build and appreciate that the additional initial cost of our boats, over steel built equivalents is well worth the investment.

We frequently get requests for information on wide beam “narrowboats”. We can build these up to a maximum of 54’ x 12’ 6” beam. These would be V bottomed and water ballasted as are all Sea Otters. We have beaten the steel narrow boat market hands down, and Sea Otter narrowboats are now the most sought after vessels in this class. No reason why we cannot achieve the same with a broad beam version.

As a cost indicator look at our current 56’ narrowboat price and multiply by 1.5. The extras prices would be roughly the same. Extras appertaining to a beamier boat not on our list we will discuss with you. The website is just a first port of call for you.
