Owners Of Sea Otter 26' Narrowboat
Ethel Louise
We saw our first Sea Otter at a small show in Bristol Docks
and immediately fell in love with the concept of durability plus
trailability. However, it took 3 more visits to various shows
and lots of talking to people already lucky enough to own their
own Sea Otters before we took the plunge and placed our order
– a decision we have never regretted.
We were encouraged to visit the factory both to finalise the specification
and later to choose colour schemes, upholstery etc. and we were
particularly impressed we the efficiency with which our ideas
were being translated into reality. Despite the fact that the
construction of our boat coincided with the move to an impressive
new factory there was very little slippage in time scales and
our boat was delivered in what we had by now come to think of
as the efficient Sea Otter manner.
Our boat was ready in the middle of winter and the river was in
flood so our demonstration trip was sadly cancelled but very soon
we were enjoying our boat and finding that she lived up to our
expectations and more!
We have now bought our own trailer and have taken on the challenge
of trailing the boat ourselves. We are exploiting to the full
that concept we found so exciting when we saw our first Sea Otter
all those years ago. Sea Otter have been very professional in
dealing with the very few teething troubles we experienced in
the early months and over 4 years of ownership I have always found
them extremely helpful with regard to advice and supply of service
parts.
