Owners Of Sea Otter 32' Centre Cockpit Cruiser
Guzzlers Gin
We first became aware of Sea Otters through my neighbour Peter
Cook, he said how good they were, and he has been proved right.
We saw a centre cockpit one at Torksey Lock and thought how well
it looked. We spoke to Cindy Shepherd (Sea Otter managing director)
and she said they were building a new design, a centre cockpit
one. She asked us if we were interested and we went to the Birmingham
Boat Show. In a matter of a few minutes a deal was struck, no
hassle, dead easy.
We went from the show to their splendid set-up at Staveley, saw
Paul (Sea Otter director), and once again in no time at all we
had sorted out colours, carpets, curtains etc. All we had to do
then was sit back and wait for it to be built and delivered.
True to their word the boat was delivered on the exact date
that they said. We were highly delighted when it arrived and we
were given all the information that was needed. Although we have
not had the boat that long, we have had a few runs out and it
is superb. We have tried to find faults but simply cant.
Against advice we had our boat painted black with silver lines.
It has had a lot of admiring glances, with it looking like a stealth
bomber in our view. It is very economical, less than a litre an
hour, and it handles beautifully.
We would, without hesitation, recommend any buyer to look at
a Sea Otter before deciding to purchase any other make. 'Quality
is their byword' and 'Their reputation is your guarantee'.
