Sea
Otter Awards
Sea Otter have substantial experience of hull
construction technology gained from building rugged, sea-proven
workboats and harbour support vessels for both the UK and mainland
Europe.
These attributes of strength, handling, longevity and stability
have been carried into the current innovative range of aluminium
Sea Otter leisure craft.
When you take delivery of your new Sea Otter boat you can be
confident that one of the UK's largest boat builders is behind
you. Our nationwide network of sales and service is there to see
to your every requirement and to ensure that your boating is totally
pleasurable.
The quality of vessel that Sea Otter produce has lead to them
holding all of the most coverted industry awards. These include:
- The Lionel Munk Trophy
- The Marion Munk Rose Bowl
- The Calor Rose Bowl
- The John Beadsmore Award
The first three awards are Waterscape awards for the most innovative
waterside business and best boating business. They are given for
quality, innovation, value for money, and ultimately how much our
boats are appreciated by our customers as well as overall company
performance and perception. The John Beadsmore award was launched
in 1998 to celebrate 20 years of Canal and Riverboat. The award
recognises the excellence in broad beam boat building.
Sea Otters' track proven designs will ensure that your boat is
the envy of all others and is the yardstick that other builders
aspire to.
As a company we are dedicated to ensuring that you enjoy your
boat and boating. By using marine grade aluminium we ensure your
time is spent navigating as opposed to boring routine hull maintenance,
and that your investment and faith in your boat is fully justified.
At the prestigious Derbyshire Business Awards Dinner held at
the Matlock Town Hall on Friday 14th November 2003, Sea Otter
were officially named as the

Top Business of the Year in Derbyshire |

The award was given in recognition of Sea Otter’s standing
in the community, growth coupled with an excellent employment
and training record, and most importantly being a beacon for Derbyshire
industry in general as to what can be achieved in the county.
The presentation was made by Miss June Sarpong on behalf of the
Derbyshire County Council and associated Chambers of Commerce
and Business Links.
The Marine Industry and BMF should take heart that against “blue
chip” opposition this award is given to one of its cornerstone
members. The contribution that the Marine Industry makes to both
local and national economies is at long last recognized, instead
of the “cottage industry” image so often imagined.
The constant presence that Sea Otter, along with their close trading
partner, Walton Marine, have at the major National Shows constantly
keep all sectors of the Inland Marine Industry in the public eye.
